WHAT HAPPENS AT A RANDOLPH TOASTMASTERS MEETING?
After a short business meeting we get down to the fun of learning
public speaking.
Fun, you ask? Yes – Fun!!
We begin each meeting with humor – our humor master provides a joke
to start our meeting on a light note. To enrich our vocabulary, a
word master provides a word and encourages every one who has an opportunity
to speak to use the word. Next there are two or three featured speakers.
Each one gives a short speech aimed at meeting one of the goals outlined
in their educational manuals. Afterwards, the speeches are evaluated.
To provide members who are not on the schedule an opportunity to speak
and practice thinking on your feet, we have Table Topics. The meeting
ends with awards for the best Table Topic speaker, featured speaker, and
evaluator!
WHAT ARE THE ACHIEVEMENT LEVELS?
- CC - Competent Communicator:
Received after completing the basic manual (10 speeches).
- AC - Advanced Communicator:

three advanced manuals, three outside speeches, and serve as an elected club
officer.
There are also ATM Bronze and ATM Silver levels of achievement.
- DTM - Distinguished Toastmaster: The highest award in Toastmasters
International.
